April 2006 e-Newsletter
Hi Cooks!
Did anyone see the RTE TV Programme No Experience Required recently? Sometimes cooking can be made to seem so stressful, especially when TV programmes hype it up and almost make it acceptable for chefs to throw tantrums in the kitchen. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts on the current genre of Reality Cooking TV.
Anyway it's all a million miles away from the reality that is the relaxed and soothing cookery environment here at Cooks Academy where our aim is to get you, the home cook, creating more and more fab dishes as confidently and as calmly as possible!

Recipe of the Month - Easy Rhubarb and Oatmeal Crumble with Crozier Sheep's Yoghurt
Serves 6 Ingredients
2. Gently cook for 10 mins or until the rhubarb is just tender. 3. While the rhubarb is cooking, make the crumble by mixing together the flour, granola and porridge oats in a bowl, rubbing in the butter until well mixed through. 4. Stir in the remaining sugar and cinnamon and set aside until the rhubarb is ready. 5. Using an ovenproof dish or ramekins, evenly spoon in the cooked rhubarb. 6. Sprinkle the crumble mixture on top and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 mins until the crumble is golden and the rhubarb bubbling slightly. Serve with a spoonful of yoghurt, ice cream or whipped cream. Delicious.
